The Paphos District Archaeological Museum was founded in 1966 and is located about 10 kilo metres east of Paphos, the museum is open all round year, except on Sundays, New Year Day, Christmas and Greek Orthodox Easter, on weekdays the museum is open from 9am to 5pm, on Saturdays the museum is open from 10am to 1pm hours. The museum keeps adding new antiques as excavations are ongoing, the antiques found are pretty attractive, the oldest dates back to the Neolithic age, the museum has one hall and five rooms, the antiques includes pottery, terra-cotta figures, rings, jewellery and statues of Greek gods.
